Invisalign
Invisalign straightens your teeth without wires and brackets, using a series of clear, customized, removable appliances called aligners. It's virtually undetectable, which means hardly anyone will know that you're straightening your teeth. Invisalign aligners are designed to move your teeth in small steps to the desired final position determined by your orthodontist. Each aligner is worn for about seven days and is only taken out to eat, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next, your teeth will move gradually, week by week, until the final alignment is attained. Then you'll be smiling like you never have before!

Our office is 100% digital, so treatment starts with a quick digital scan rather than impression trays, and you can see your projected result before your first aligner is ever made. You wear each set about 20 to 22 hours a day and switch to the next set every week or two until the plan is complete.
It depends on how complex your treatment is, whether it is one or both arches, and how long that takes, which is why we start every patient with a complimentary exam instead of a number quoted over the phone. At that visit we check your orthodontic insurance benefits, go over monthly payment options, and give you an exact price for your case. For younger children the honest answer is that it depends on how their jaw and adult teeth are coming in. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a first checkup around age 7, and that visit tells us whether early treatment would help now or whether we simply keep an eye on their growth. Either way, you leave knowing the plan.
Most cases run about 12 to 18 months. Simple crowding can finish in under a year, and bigger bite corrections take longer. Wearing your aligners the full 20 to 22 hours a day matters more to your finish date than anything we do in the office.

A digital scanner captures a 3D image of your teeth in a few minutes, you see the result on screen right away, and that same scan is what your custom aligners are built from.
